Latham LH 9100 Prolific II Branch Root Alfalfa
Latham^® LH 9100 Prolific II is the third generation of branch root alfalfas. Prolific II combines high resistance to the pathogens that inhabit wet soils, which include Aphanomyces root rot (Race 2) along the branch-rooted feature. Its root system has been genetically designed with a greater degree of the branch-rooted trait. This trait helps keep more of the root system above the water table and better secures the plant in the ground when freezing and thawing occurs. The branch-rooted trait adjusts as moisture stresses intensify. Prolific II is more persistent and productive in areas not considered optimal for hay production.

Latham^® LH 9600HY is the next generation of hybrid alfalfa. It has the highest level of forage yield potential delivering dairy quality forage. LH 9600HY delivers a thick, distinctively fine stemmed forage. The fine stem characteristic tends to dry faster, retaining higher sugar levels. It also makes a dense, attractive alfalfa bale and a tighter pack in bunker silos. LH 9600HY tolerates drier soils, and not flowering as rapidly under drought stress compared to non-hybrid alfalfas.
