John founded Latham Hybrids in April 2004 and serves as its president.  He has 14 years of soybean seed sales experience with Latham Seed Company and most recently served as the company’s marketing director.  Prior to joining the family seed business, John worked as a production agronomist for Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in ag business from Iowa State University.  Active in the seed industry, John served as president of the Iowa Seed Association and is active in the American Seed Trade Association.



Shannon Latham

Shannon serves as vice president of marketing for Latham Hybrids. Prior to starting her own communications business in 2004, she worked as an account executive and public relations specialist for The Meyocks Group in West Des Moines. Her clients included Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., Farm Credit Services and Foremost Farms USA. Shannon earned an MBA from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s in ag journalism from Iowa State University. She is former president of the Iowa Chapter of National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA).

Chris serves as Latham Hybrids’ chief financial officer (CFO). With more than a decade of experience in the financial sector, he has developed an excellent track record of creating business value. He has worked as an operations manager for Commercial Federal Bank and was hired as CFO by a Minneapolis-based private equity firm. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Drake University an MBA, with an emphasis in finance, from Iowa State University.

As corn product manager, Jamie is responsible for selecting the best new products to become part of Latham Hi-Tech Hybrids’ portfolio, as well as supporting sales and marketing functions. He has 21 years of experience in the seed industry. Most recently, Jamie served as regional sales manager for Pfister Hybrid Seed and as corn product manager plus regional sales and marketing manager for AgVenture ProfiSeed. A native of Elkhorn, Neb., Jamie holds an MBA, with an emphasis in sales and marketing, from the University of Nebraska – Kearney. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
