More beans per pod, more bushels per acre The Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® gene is situated in a region of soybean DNA that drives higher yields, so farmers using the technology are seeing more 3, 4 and 5 bean pods. In a comparison of Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® and a wide range of first-generation Roundup Ready® Soybeans from Pioneer, NK and Monsanto in 2009, results found that Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® Soybeans had greater root biomass, more nodes on the main stem, and larger shoot biomass compared to first-generation Roundup Ready Soybeans.
